The sweet whisper

The place for me;

I find myself in the valley.
Not so to speak as I'm away from your mountain peak;

A place so quiet and sweet,
where the blades of grass sway each their own way.
Where the stars at night come out and stay.
Where the crickets speak, the birds fly in play.
I find myself here each day,
To come before you and get on my knees.
In this place so silent,so still.
My lips are shut, not to make even one plea.
I come here to seek You,
Listening for Your gentle whisper to me.

Serving God by loving people.

"Bondservants, be obedient to those who are your masters according
to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in sincerity of heart, as to Christ;
 not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but as bondservants of Christ,
 doing the will of God from the heart, with goodwill doing service,
as to the Lord, and not to men." ~ Ephesians 6:5-7

If you have ever been in a ministry setting at all, you know it is hard work. It takes dedication. Discipline. Patients. Humility. And most of all, Christ like love. No one ministry is the same, and no one person is called to be the same. We are called to many places, but with one accord. One thing in mind, One hope. That is, Jesus Christ. And even though we are all called in one form or another, we are here to support one another through Christ-like love.

*

It says in Romans 12:4-5.
"For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:
So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another."-KJV
Also, 1 Corinthians 12:12-14.
"For as the body is one, and hath many members,and all the members of that one body,
being many, are one body:So also is Christ. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body,
whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. For the body is not one member, but MANY." -KJV

Ministry;min-is-try, the work or vocation of a minister of religion.
In Hebrew the word means Shareth (Sha*rath)

So basically the point of Christs ministry is to share the Gospel (The good news). This means we are called to be set apart as it says in Deuteronomy 14:2

"You have been set apart as holy to the Lord your God, and He has chosen
you from all the nations of the earth to be His own special treasure." -NLT

So then, if ministry means to share, and sharing the gospel means we are set apart. This means The world must hate me. I know I know, I used the word 'hate', but it is true. for in the book of John 15:18-19,o

"If the world hate you, ye know that it hated Me before it hated you.
If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world,
but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you." -KJV

HOWEVER! This does not mean we can hate the world. We (As believers) are called to love those IN the world but not OF the world. Romans 12:2

"And be ye not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind
that ye may prove what is good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God." -KJV

The will of God is that we love one another. 1 Corinthians 13;13

"These three things will last forever- faith-hope-love- the greatest of these is love."-NLT

And if we are to love as Christ loved, we are to be servants unto all men.
The words 'servant','bond',and 'bondage' are used in the scriptures 127 times throughout the bible
( Translated in the original Greek language as 'Doulos' )

"For though I be free from all men,yet have made myself servant unto all,
that I might gain the more..." -KJV

Therefore, we are called to be servants in the ministry.
Dedication: Discipline: Patients: Humility: love.

Let me summarize this. We are called into ministry, if in the ministry, we are set apart. When we are set apart from this world, it will hate us as it first hated The Lord Jesus Christ. And if we are hated by the world, we are to love as Christ loved, and that is becoming all things to all men. Servant hood.

Ministry is hard but rewarding, and I wouldn't want to be called any place else. And even though ministry life is crazy busy 24/7, there is always time to pull away and find your quiet place. Because in my opinion, God speaks in the quiet. He whispers when your lips are silent. He tells you of His plans, or at least guides you in one direction if He doesn't reveal all of His plans.

So I encourage you, find the silent place in your life. Pull away from the busy and shut your mouth to hear His whisper.

Lord I pray you would lead me to be a better servant unto you. That I may serve all that I come
across as I would serve you, to my fullest ability. I pray you would remind me why I do what I do. It is that You have called me to Your ministry. You have called me to be set apart as a child of God. Thank you for an opportunity to serve You each and every day. Lord I pray as always, You would empty me of me so as I may be filled with more of You. -Your daughter
